About the Journal

Scope and Focus
This journal covers all areas of nutrition science. Topics include micronutrient and macronutrient metabolism, gut health, maternal and child nutrition, obesity and chronic disease, diet and inflammation, nutrition epidemiology, functional foods, food insecurity, sustainable diets, and nutrition interventions. We welcome interdisciplinary studies that connect molecular findings with clinical or population-level outcomes. Whether you are in a lab, a hospital, a kitchen, or a rural field site, if your work helps us understand the relationship between what we eat and how we live, it belongs here.

Open Access Policy

Peer Review Process
We use a double-blind peer review process to evaluate submissions. Each paper is reviewed by at least two independent experts. Feedback focuses on clarity, scientific integrity, and relevance. Most decisions are shared with authors within six to eight weeks.

Article Processing Charges
There are no fees to submit. A modest processing charge applies after acceptance to support indexing, hosting, and digital preservation. Waivers are available for authors without institutional funding.

Indexing and DOI Assignment
Each article is assigned a DOI and made discoverable through SERN’s indexing systems. Our goal is to keep your work accessible, citable, and archived for the long term.
