About the Journal

Nature Conservation Journal welcomes submissions from scientists, conservation professionals and community researchers who strive to protect biodiversity and ecosystems. We publish original studies, case reports, reviews and methodology papers across areas such as species conservation, habitat restoration, ecological monitoring, environmental policy, human dimensions of conservation and citizen science.

All articles are freely available immediately upon publication; we do not use paywalls or subscription fees. Authors benefit from rigorous, fair and transparent peer review. Reviewers receive clear guidance and authors get constructive feedback in a timely manner.

Authors retain copyright and grant SERN a non‑exclusive licence to distribute their work under a standard open licence; full terms are available on the site. We publicly disclose any funding sources or sponsorship to safeguard editorial independence and maintain trust. Privacy of all contributors and readers is upheld in line with SERN’s privacy policy. As part of the Sustainable and Emerging Research Network, our publishing model is entirely digital, cost‑effective and eco‑aware. We aim to make conservation research accessible, sustainable and demonstrably impactful, supporting solutions from local to global scales.
