About the Journal
Journal of Materials Science is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication hosted on SERN. It publishes original research and reviews on the design, synthesis, characterization and application of materials across scales and disciplines. Our mission is to spotlight work that pushes boundaries, structurally, chemically, or functionally. We publish work on metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, biomaterials, nanomaterials, and emerging hybrids. Topics include, but are not limited to mechanical properties, phase transitions, surface and interface behavior, corrosion resistance, smart materials, energy materials, sustainable fabrication methods, and material modeling. Whether you are tuning a lattice structure or developing a biodegradable scaffold, this journal is a home for applied and theoretical work alike.
