About the Journal
The Journal of Environmental Sciences is published under SERN and is freely accessible to all readers under a gold open-access policy. That means no paywalls, no institutional gatekeeping, just knowledge shared openly, as it should be. Our editorial scope spans environmental science in its broadest and most interdisciplinary sense: ecology, climate systems, urban resilience, water and energy resources, environmental justice, restoration, conservation biology, and everything in between.
We are not in the business of publishing for the sake of publishing. We seek work that challenges assumptions, provokes necessary discomfort, or pushes practical solutions forward. Submissions are reviewed through a double-blind peer process by scientists, policy experts, and practitioners with field experience, not just theoretical familiarity.
Authors retain copyright of their work under the Creative Commons Attribution License; this empowers researchers to share and reuse their work as long as proper credit is given. Our commitment to ethical publication is non-negotiable; we follow COPE guidelines and believe in transparency, authorship clarity, and conflict of interest disclosure without exception.
This journal does not accept sponsorships from corporate entities or third parties with vested interests in research outcomes. We believe environmental science must remain independent, publicly accountable, and free of commercial influence. All personal data collected is used solely for the purpose of editorial communication and is never shared, sold, or exploited period. Whether you are a researcher, reviewer, student, or policymaker, if you care about the future of this planet, you will find a place here.
