About the Journal
Cell Biology invites submissions from researchers, technicians and reviewers passionate about understanding life at the cellular level. We publish original research and reviews across a broad spectrum, including cell morphology, bioimaging, molecular pathways, cell fate decisions and translational applications in health and disease.
All articles are freely available immediately upon publication; we don’t charge readers or wrap content behind paywalls. Our submission process is built on transparent peer review; reviewers get clear guidance and authors receive constructive, timely feedback. Authors retain copyright under a standard open licence and grant SERN a non‑exclusive right to distribute. All funding sources or sponsorships are disclosed publicly to ensure editorial independence.
Privacy of authors, reviewers and readers is taken seriously; all personal data is handled in line with SERN’s privacy policy. As part of the Sustainable and Emerging Research Network we run a fully digital, eco‑aware publishing workflow that lowers barriers to access, reduces costs, and keeps environmental impact minimal. Our mission is to make rigorous cell biology research visible, inclusive and sustainable.
